I've been watching MacGyver on and off since secondary school. It's been fun, but as the years have gone by, I've become a more critical viewer. I still enjoy the show plenty, but I'm not quite as blind to the flaws as I once was. I've become better at spotting random silliness, noticing the things that might not actually work that way in the real world, unchecked prejudices or somewhat problematic stereotypes, and, quite a big one in a show that got it's start in the 80s, plain old datedness.
Noticing all these things become a lot more fun when you share them, so I occasionally write a bit. Privileged as I am, it's not as if I notice all, especially regarding somewhat problematic stereotypes, but hey. If you don't look for it, you notice nothing and MacGyver is a fun place to play with it.
Reviews will be posted in any random order and at any random interval. It'll all depend on what I'm watching and how much I feel like writing something up.
While I'm not particularly profane, I am an adult and I will use language as I see fit.
In comments, I will not tolerate hate speech, and while I do my best to avoid writing dodgy things myself, I do know I have prejudices I'm not sufficiently aware of so if you spot me writing something offensive, I'd be grateful if you'd tell me.
